Elmira, New York Newborn Photographer | Arnot Hospital Refresh
A few months back a sweet Facebook friend of mine who works in the Labor and Delivery unit at Arnot Hospital reached out about a refresh project they were starting in their wing. After lots of communication, planning, measuring, ordering, sorting and hanging I’m so proud to say that the project is done! We overhauled the entire Labor and Deliver unit, OB wing and waiting room. All of their old (old old….like none of the nurses can remember before them old) photos on the walls were replaced with large professional canvas prints of newborns, pregnant mamas and families. How AWESOME is that!?
I’m so passionate about all things motherhood, birth and babies. I’ve had a baby and I remember focusing on certain places on the wall or ceiling while giving birth. This entire project started with the desire to give moms that last final bit of encouragement while they’re in labor. Labor is hard and sometimes long. I couldn’t help but think that seeing photos of what these moms are about to hold in their own arms would provide hope and excitement for what’s to come.
